A pile of discarded furniture and debris, including couches, mattresses, and wooden items, is positioned on a roadside, surrounded by palm trees and shrubbery during sunset.

What are you afraid of? How does it affect your choices? I have to admit, after hurricane Helene last year, I’m afraid of hurricane season. So many people put thier lives on the curb after they lost everything in the related flood. There are so many things that affect our outlook, but our fears can change our behavior.

Fear of rejection, can keep you from healthy relationships. Fear of heights can keep you from adventures and amazing views. Fear of spiders, or bugs, or other animals can keep you from experieinces that could help you grow. So how do you manage your fears?

I fear that something will happen to my kids. I want to keep them safe, but I also know I have to let them live. I want my parents to live forever, but I know that won’t happen. My fears shape every day of my life, but I try to live and be happy in spite of them. It’s all part of being happy, for life.
