This can be a journal entry or just something to consider. There will always be times when you have to decide to let things go, or to fight for yourself. Choosing your battles wisely is an important skill to have. It’s not an easy skill to develop, but it’s very important to consider. When you are treated differently by family members, should you challenge their behavior or just live your best life? When you are passed over for a promotion, should you accept the action, or should you evaluate your performance and make changes including finding a new job? When a partner doesn’t respect your thoughts and feelings, should you end the relationship or work on communication and advocate for your own ideas?
There are many aspects of choosing your battles to consider, but they need to be considered. Do your research, both related to your own behavior, the behavior of others, and the truth of it all. Find what needs to be done, and do it. It’s part of being happy, for life.
